One person died[05-15-2023] One Person Died After Multi-Vehicle Crash near Solimar Beach in a multi-vehicle crash in Ventura County on Monday morning, May 15, 2023.

According to the local authorities, the incident occurred on the 101 Freeway near Solimar Beach, north of Ventura.

A fatal crash occurred, resulting in the death of one individual. Multiple cars were involved, including a Honda CR-V and a utility truck, both of which caught fire. The report did not disclose the victim’s identity or the cause of the crash.

Following the incident, all northbound lanes were closed for investigation, with traffic redirected at the State Beaches exit.

Later in the morning, at least one lane was reopened to traffic.

The investigation is ongoing.
