Two individuals sustained injuries after a two-truck collision in San Fernando on Tuesday afternoon, May 16, 2023.

The Los Angeles Fire Department said the incident occurred on the southbound 5 Freeway near San Fernando Mission Boulevard.

According to the report, two individuals were injured when a work truck rear-ended a Los Angeles County Fire Department truck. It is currently unknown whether either person was transported to a hospital for medical treatment. The work truck sustained significant damage. The extent of the damage remains unclear.

The crash led to substantial traffic congestion on the southbound freeway, resulting in significant delays as the evening rush hour commenced.
