[05-20-2023] Female Resident Hospitalized After Suspected DUI Vehicle Crashed into Home in Santa RosaA woman in her 50s was hospitalized after a suspected DUI vehicle crashed into their house in Santa Rosa on early Saturday morning, May 20, 2023.

The investigation began around 12:51 a.m. when officers received several calls about a car that crashed into a property in the 5200 block of Beaumont Way, according to the Santa Rosa Police Department.

One of the homeowners also stated that a gray Tesla drove into the front of their house. Officers said that a female resident had minor injuries from glass shards and was sent to the hospital for treatment.

Authorities stated that the car of a 47-year-old driver, identified as Natasha W., wife of the Sonoma County sheriff, reportedly left the roadway, drove through a fence, struck a tree, and crashed into the house.

The driver was detained and put into Sonoma County Jail on suspicion of felony DUI that caused injury based on a DUI investigation, evidence on scene, and the injury to the resident.

The investigation is ongoing.
