[05-21-2022] Sacramento County, CA - Married Couple Killed in Fatal Two-Vehicle Crash on Stockton Boulevard and 65th StreetTwo people were killed after being struck by a car involved in a high-speed chase with police in south Sacramento on Saturday morning, May 21, 2022.

The fatal crash occurred around 8:45 a.m. near Stockton Boulevard and 65th Street.

Sacramento police said they attempted a traffic stop on two cars that were driving recklessly and endangering the community in the area.

According to the Sacramento County coroner, Tien L., 46, and Binh N., 54, were the victims. Both were from Sacramento.

According to news reports, the couple worked as nail technicians in the Roseville area and were married with two children aged 5 and 8.

They were on their way to get coffee when they were hit and killed by another driver who cops were pursuing.

According to police, both cars led officers on a half-mile chase. According to police, one of the cars collided with an uninvolved vehicle near Stockton Boulevard and 65th Street.

Both occupants of the uninvolved vehicle died at the scene of the accident.

According to the California Highway Patrol, the driver of the speeding car suffered serious injuries and was taken to the hospital.

The other car in the chase fled the scene and has yet to be found.

The chase is being investigated to see if the officers followed department policy.

The crash remains under investigation.
