[05-28-2023] Sonoma County, CA – Single-Vehicle Rollover Crash in Santa Rosa Leaves Two Men Injured

Two men were hospitalized after a single-vehicle rollover crash in Santa Rosa on Sunday afternoon, May 28, 2023.

Emergency dispatchers received the report regarding the crash shortly after 3:34 p.m. at Summerfield Road and Hoen Avenue intersection, north of Bennett Valley.

According to Battalion Chief Matt Dahl of the Santa Rosa Fire Department, one of the occupants was able to get out of the overturned pickup truck. The second, however, had to be extricated by firefighters. The Jaws of Life hydraulic rescue tool wasn’t used in the scene.

Medical personnel evaluated the men at the scene and claimed they appeared to have sustained minor to moderate injuries. They were taken to a local hospital by ambulance for further evaluation.

No other vehicles were involved in the crash. The Santa Rosa Police Department is investigating the cause.
