[06-06-2023] At Least One Person Hospitalized After Multi-Vehicle Crash Involving Big Rigs Along Highway 46At least one person was hospitalized after a multi-vehicle crash involving big rigs along Highway 46, San Luis Obispo County, on Tuesday evening, June 06, 2023.

According to the California Highway Patrol, the crash happened around 9:15 p.m. along Highway 46 and Highway 41 outside Shandon.

Reports say the crash involved multiple cows and six vehicles, including a Toyota Highlander, a Honda CRV, a tow truck, a GMC Yukon, and two semi-trucks.

One person was taken to a local hospital, and three cows were killed. The number of people involved and the extent of injuries has not been determined.

The cow rancher admitted that he had no knowledge of how the cows ended up on the road. The authorities have not released any further information.
