[06-28-2022] San Mateo County, CA – Two People Injured in Plane Crash at San Carlos Airport

According to the San Mateo County Sheriff’s Office, two passengers on board sustained minor wounds in a small plane crash in Peninsula City on Tuesday, June 28, 2022.

The crash occurred around 11:47 a.m. at the northeast section of San Carlos Airport.

The National Transportation Safety Board was informed and will oversee the investigation even though the cause of the collision was not immediately known.

The plane crashed as it was coming in for a landing. The sheriff’s deputies found the wreckage in the northeast corner of the airport.
