The Newport Beach Police Department said the collision occurred around 10:15 a.m. at the intersection of Pacific Coast Highway and Crystal Cove.

According to the report, both drivers involved in the incident were transported to a nearby hospital.

Unfortunately, the car’s driver was pronounced dead at the hospital.

No further information was disclosed, and the investigation is currently ongoing.
