[07-20-2023] Pedestrian Fatally Struck on 405 Freeway in Sherman OaksA pedestrian was fatally struck by a vehicle in Sherman Oaks, Los Angeles, on Thursday morning, July 20, 2023.

The California Highway Patrol reported that the collision occurred shortly before 7:15 a.m. on the northbound 405 Freeway at Ventura Boulevard.

According to the report, a tragic incident occurred where a pedestrian lost their life after being struck by a vehicle. The Los Angeles Fire Department found the person’s body on the freeway.

The duration of the lane closures remains unknown, and there is currently no information available regarding the victim’s identity or details about the involved vehicle and driver.

In response to the incident, a SigAlert was issued to close the No. 5 and No. 6 lanes and the off-ramp while the CHP conducted their investigation.
