[07-21-2023] Ventura County, CA – Two People Hospitalized Following Two-Vehicle Collision in Oxnard

Two people were hospitalized following a two-vehicle collision in Oxnard early Friday evening, July 21, 2023.

According to the California Highway Patrol, the collision happened around 5:15 p.m. along the 34 Freeway east of Wood Road.

A 70-year-old Nissan driver from Van Nuys collided head-on with a 32-year-old Jeep driver from Searcy, Arkansas.

The Nissan driver named Jorge A. suffered major injuries and was airlifted to Ventura County Medical Center, while the 32-year-old female driver suffered moderate injuries and was transported to Saint John’s Medical Center.

The conditions of both victims remain undisclosed while authorities are conducting an investigation into the collision.
