[08-20-2022] Riverside County, CA - Fatal Pedestrian Crash Results in One Death in Moreno ValleyA man was killed after a pedestrian crash involving a pickup truck in Moreno Valley on Saturday evening, August 20, 2022.

According to the Riverside County Sheriff’s Department, the collision happened at 8:34 p.m. on Friday on Alessandro Boulevard close to Elsworth Street.

The pedestrian was discovered by emergency personnel lying in the road without a pulse and with severe, potentially fatal wounds.

According to sheriff’s officials, he was later declared dead at the scene.

A 2019 Toyota Tacoma struck a man crossing the street while pushing a shopping cart in the south.

The driver tried to stop, but the pedestrian was hit when he crossed in front of the truck.

The Toyota’s driver was unharmed, remained at the scene, and cooperated with the police.

Drugs and alcohol did not appear to be factored in the collision.

Local authorities kept the identities of both the pedestrian and the driver unknown.
