[08-31-2022] 40-Year-Old Pedestrian Killed Hit-And-Run Crash in OxnardAccording to the Oxnard Police Department, a 40-year-old pedestrian succumbed to his critical injuries by a hit-and-run driver in Oxnard early Monday, August 29, 2022.

According to Cpl. Mike Wood of the Oxnard Police Department, the crash transpired shortly after 1:00 a.m., in the roadway near Ventura Road and Ninth Street.

The victim had severe injuries that showed he had been hit by a car. The police and emergency medical workers found him.
The man was taken by ambulance to Ventura County Medical Center, where he died. His name was Carlos F. He was 40 years old and from Oxnard.

Wood said that police think the car, which might have been a sedan, was going south on Ventura Road at the time.

According to Wood, they are still looking for clues and leads, the vehicle may have damaged the front bumper near the license plate.
