[09-06-2022] 23-Year-Old Benicia Man Killed in Motorcycle Head-On Collision in VallejoAccording to the California Highway Patrol, a 23-year-old Benicia man was fatally injured after a head-on collision with a Peterbilt big rig in Vallejo Thursday morning, October 6, 2022.

The crash occurred around 11:15 a.m., west on Lake Herman Road in Vallejo.

According to the information provided by the California Highway Patrol, a man riding a Suzuki motorcycle was traveling east on Lake Herman Road when he collided with a Peterbilt big rig traveling west on the road.

According to the authorities, the motorcyclist was traveling at an excessive speed and could not negotiate the curved roadway before crossing into the westbound lane directly in the path of the tractor-trailer.

The collision was fatal for the motorcyclist who was riding the bike. It is not believed that alcohol played a role in causing this collision.

The investigation into the matter is still ongoing. The identity of the deceased was not immediately released.
