[09-28-2022] DUI Crash Into Redding Veterinary Clinic Causes InjuriesTwo people were injured following an alleged DUI crash into a building in Redding that closed a road and resulted in a gas leak on Wednesday, September 28, 2022.

The accident occurred around 10:00 p.m. Wednesday on Westside Road between Breslauer Road and Buenaventura Boulevard.

That area was momentarily closed while emergency personnel investigated and cleaned up the scene.

According to Redding police, Jacob K. was speeding and missed a turn. His pickup truck struck a power pole and a gas line prior to colliding with the Redding Veterinary Clinic.

Redding Electric Utility and PG&E investigated the gas leak from the veterinary clinic and the damaged power pole.

Ksiazek’s passenger also sustained minor wounds. He is now being charged with DUI.
