[11-02-2022] Homeless Man Killed After Being Struck by Vehicle in San JoseAccording to the San Jose Police Department, a homeless pedestrian man was struck and killed by a vehicle in South San Jose Wednesday morning, November 2, 2022.

The collision transpired at 4:30 a.m. at Cherry Ave. and Almaden Expressway intersection.

According to the San Jose Police Department, the victim was not using a crosswalk when struck by a vehicle. At the local hospital, he ultimately passed away.

The female driver, who was reportedly operating an SUV, stayed at the scene and helped police with their inquiries, the police report.

There is no reason to suspect intoxication.

Once the victim’s identity has been confirmed, and their family has been informed, the news will be made public.
