[11-05-2023] Ventura County, CA – Driver Killed Following Reckless Vehicle Crash in Downtown Oxnard

A driver was killed following a reckless vehicle crash in downtown Oxnard early Sunday morning, November 5, 2023.

According to the authorities, the fatal crash happened around 2:00 a.m. along Oxnard Boulevard near Second Street.

A 2006 BMW sedan driver named Moises A. Jr. was reportedly speeding along the southbound lane when he crashed the vehicle into a palm tree.

One or more passengers allegedly fled the scene and left the driver trapped in the vehicle. The victim was extricated and taken to the County Medical Center in Ventura, where he was later pronounced dead.

There is currently no information about the whereabouts or possible injuries sustained by the other occupants of the BMW. Anyone with information is encouraged to reach out.
