Fatal Multi-Vehicle Collision Statistics

Car accidents frequently have irreversible and, in some cases, fatal consequences. To avoid this, all drivers are encouraged to drive responsibly.

Unfortunately, car accidents are not uncommon in the United States. In 2018, there were approximately 33,654 fatal motor vehicle crashes. Thirty-six thousand five hundred sixty people were killed in car accidents that year.

Multi-vehicle collisions are just one type of car accident. This type of accident occurs when three or more cars are involved in an accident. They are frequently the result of a “chain-reaction” crash, in which one vehicle collides with another, potentially causing it to collide with other cars on the road.

Drivers who operate their vehicles aggressively or recklessly endanger the lives of everyone else on the road unnecessarily. Innocent people should not have to suffer as a result of someone else’s careless driving. Drivers who operate their vehicles in such a reckless manner should be held accountable for the damages and injuries they cause.

Reckless driving is either a major traffic violation or an extreme driving offense in California. The terms reckless driving and driving without due care, careless driving, or improper driving are frequently used interchangeably. Whatever you call it, it raises the risk of serious car accidents significantly.
