One unidentified person was killed after a deadly motorcycle crash in Somis on Wednesday morning, November 17, 2021.

[11-17-2021] Ventura County, CA - One Person Killed After a Deadly Motorcycle Crash in SomisThe deadly accident happened in the 6971 block of Highway 118, also known as East Los Angeles Avenue, at around 6:30 a.m.

A blue Harley-Davidson collided with a Ford Escort after attempting to pass stopped vehicles. According to eyewitness accounts, the rider tried to weave through the line of stopped cars on his motorcycle.

In an attempt to get around the blockage, the rider crossed double-yellow lines. There was a no-passing zone marked by double yellow lines.

The motorcycle rider then crossed into oncoming lanes while attempting to get through the intersection. Drivers were making a right-hand turn into their driveway when the Ford Escort’s back end collided with the rider’s.

Emergency personnel later arrived at the scene and found the motorcycle rider lying on the roadway. Unfortunately, despite the emergency personnel’s life-saving efforts, the motorcycle rider succumbed to his injuries and was pronounced dead.

No other injuries were reported. Information about the crash is limited at the moment. The identities of the involved parties have not been disclosed. The accident is currently under further investigation.
