[11-17-2022] Pedestrian Struck and Killed by Vehicle on Highway 50A vehicle struck and killed an unidentified pedestrian on Highway 50 in Sacramento Thursday night, November 17, 2022.

Authorities reported the deadly crash occurred around 6:48 p.m. in the westbound lanes of the highway close to 26th Street.

Police officials received a report indicating that a pedestrian ran from the center divide to the shoulder before he was hit by a car.

Responders pronounced the unidentified victim dead on the scene.

Meanwhile, the car’s driver cooperated with the police investigation.

The crash is not believed to have been caused by alcohol or drugs.
