[11-18-2022] Multi-Vehicle Crash Kills Two, Injures Several on Suisun Valley RoadTwo people were killed and several more were injured in a multi-vehicle collision near Fairfield on Friday evening, November 18, 2022.

According to the California Highway Patrol, the crash occurred at 6:05 p.m. on Suisun Valley Road near Morrison Lane.

A Mazda was reportedly going south on Suisun Valley Road when it veered into the northbound lane and struck a Honda. Leaving the road and continuing south, the Mazda struck a tree. It then took a sharp right turn, slamming with a Chrysler moving north.

The Mazda driver, a 38-year-old Fairfield woman, and its left rear passenger, an 11-year-old Fairfield girl, were killed due to the impact. The Mazda’s other passenger, a 6-year-old Fairfield boy, survived and was taken to North Bay Medical Center for minor wounds.

The Honda’s 56-year-old Fairfield woman driver was unharmed. Its 3-year-old Fairfield passenger was treated for minor injuries. The Chrysler driver, a Fairfield woman, also suffered minor wounds and was treated at North Bay Medical Center.

Suisun Valley Road was closed by the authorities between Rockville and Ledgewood roads. The CHP reports that the road was reopened just after 9:15 p.m.

According to the CHP, alcohol is thought to have played a role in this crash, which is still under investigation.
