[11-19-2022] 30-Year-Old Pedestrian Struck Dead by Hit-and-Run Driver in AnaheimThe CHP said a 30-year-old pedestrian was fatally struck by a hit-and-run driver in Anaheim on Saturday morning, November 19, 2022.

According to the California Highway Patrol, the fatal pedestrian crash occurred around 1:10 a.m. on Magnolia Street and Katella Avenue.

CHP Officer Mitch Smith said 30-year-old Rick M. from Long Beach was struck by a pickup truck eastbound on Katella when crossing Magnolia southbound in a designated crosswalk.

The responders declared the pedestrian dead at the scene.

The authorities requested public assistance locating the hit-and-run driver, whose car was described as dark-colored, late-model, and possibly a Chevrolet with front-end damage.

Anyone with information is urged to contact the police to aid the investigation.
