[11-20-2022] One Killed, Another Injured After Head-on Collision in FeltonOne person was killed and another was injured following a head-on collision in Felton on Sunday evening, November 20, 2022.

According to the California Highway Patrol Santa Cruz, the crash occurred at 4:28 p.m. on Mouth Hermon Road and Covenant Lane.

Responders from the Felton Fire Protection District said the collision involved a 2019 Lexus RX350 and a 2007 Volkswagen Beetle.

The Lexus driver, Menette S., 64, from Felton, was westbound on Mouth Hermon when it crossed over Covenant Lane into oncoming traffic and struck the Beetle.

The 55-year-old Santa Cruz resident Beetle driver, Dale E., was declared dead on the spot. Schults was taken to a Santa Clara County trauma center for major injuries.

Police think there is no evidence of alcohol or drug use involved in the collision upon investigation.
