[11-21-2022] San Diego County, CA – Collision on State Route 67 Leaves One Pedestrian Severely Injured

A vehicle reportedly struck one pedestrian on State Route 67 early Monday morning, November 21, 2022.

According to authorities, the collision occurred shortly before 1:20 a.m. south of Rancho De Oro Drive.

Reports state that a 24-year-old man was driving a 2020 Nissan Sentra northbound when he noticed another man crossing the road.

The Nissan driver could not avoid the pedestrian and eventually struck him with the right front of his car.

Responders immediately transported the pedestrian to Palomar Medical Center after sustaining severe injuries.

Meanwhile, the Nissan driver stayed at the scene.

According to the police, he was not influenced by drugs or alcohol.
