[11-22-2022] One Hospitalized, Several Others Injured in Richmond Multi-Vehicle CollisionOne person was hospitalized and several others were injured in a multi-vehicle collision in Richmond on Tuesday, November 22, 2022.

According to the Richmond Police Department, the crash occurred on Richmond Parkway and Lakeside Drive.

The responders arrived at the scene and found five vehicles involved in the crash, one of which flipped over, trapping its occupant inside.

Investigation revealed one car traveled east on Richmond Parkway, lost control, and slammed into another car. It then veered across the center line and crashed with three more cars before flipping over.

Major injuries were sustained by the driver of the wrecked car, who was taken to a nearby hospital. Fortunately, the other drivers only received minor wounds. It remained unclear how many injured people were involved.

For several hours, Richmond Parkway was closed while the investigation continued.
