Two-Vehicle Accident Statistics

Every minute, someone in the United States is killed or seriously injured in an automobile accident. There are around two million deaths annually among those aged two to thirty-four, and ten times as many injuries.

By 2050, experts estimate that over 10,000 people per year will be killed in traffic accidents, of any kind, in California.

In 2015, car accidents in California rose by 23.5 percent. In 2017, it was predicted that there would be 3,898 deaths and 276,823 injuries due to car accidents. For every one hundred thousand persons who used public transportation in 2018, nine people lost their lives.
