One unidentified person was killed while another was hurt after a major traffic collision in Centra Bakersfield on Sunday afternoon, November 28, 2021.

An SUV broadsided a pickup truck on the highway for unknown reasons. The circumstances leading up to the accident have not been established.

A passenger inside the pickup truck sustained critical injuries in the crash and was rushed to an area hospital for treatment. Unfortunately, the pickup truck passenger later succumbed to their injuries and died.

Meanwhile, the pickup truck driver was hospitalized with moderate injuries. The SUV driver was uninjured in the mishap.

The identities of the involved parties have not been disclosed. Information about the crash is limited at the moment.
