[11-29-2021] San Bernardino County, CA – Three People Injured After a Multi-Vehicle Crash in Phelan

Three people were hurt following a multi-vehicle traffic collision at an intersection in Phelan on Monday afternoon, November 29, 2021.

The accident transpired at approximately 2:34 p.m. at the intersection of Phelan Road and Johnson Road in Phelan.

A black Nissan Altima sedan ran a red light at the intersection and t-boned the pickup truck. It then crashed into a silver Jeep Renegade SUV, attempting to make a right turn onto Phelan.

Due to the severity of the impact, the sedan overturned. The sedan driver was trapped in the wreckage and extricated by emergency personnel for 25 minutes.

A female passenger in the SUV was critically injured, while a male passenger in the pickup truck sustained non-life-threatening injuries.

The sedan driver and the female SUV passenger were airlifted to an area hospital. Meanwhile, the pickup truck occupant was transported via ground ambulance to the hospital.

Local authorities are further investigating the accident.
