[12-06-2022] San Diego County, CA – Vehicle Fatally Struck 89-Year-Old Pedestrian in El Cajon

An 89-year-old man died after being struck by a car in El Cajon on Tuesday night, December 6, 2022.

Reports confirmed that the fatal crash occurred around 6:50 p.m. at 724 Fletcher Parkway.

Authorities received calls regarding a pedestrian struck by a 2014 Kia Optima.

When police arrived, they discovered the man unconscious in the street.

Paramedics immediately rushed the victim to a hospital, where he succumbed to his injuries.

Meanwhile, the Optima’s driver remained at the site and cooperated with police officials.
