[12-13-2022] Hit-And-Run Crash Killed One Driver and Injured Three Persons Near PittsburgA hit-and-run crash involving four vehicles killed one man and injured two near Pittsburg on Tuesday morning, December 13, 2022.

The fatal collision reportedly occurred around 11:05 a.m. on Highway 4.

Reports state that a Dodge SUV entered eastbound near the Railroad Avenue off-ramp when it collided head-on with a Honda Accord.

Following the initial crash, the Honda was struck by a Toyota Highlander driving westbound and a tanker truck traveling eastbound.

The four automobiles sustained significant damage and rested in the eastbound lanes.

Paramedics arrived at the scene and pronounced the Honda driver dead. The passenger was transferred to a hospital for treatment of serious injuries.

The Toyota was carrying one adult driver and one newborn passenger, both of whom were taken to a hospital complaining of pain.

Meanwhile, the tanker truck driver was left uninjured.

The Dodge driver fled the area after the crash but was apprehended by police.

Alcohol or drugs are believed to be factors in the collision.
