[12-19-2022] One Hospitalized After Train Collision in NorthridgeA person was hospitalized after they were possibly struck by an Amtrak train in Los Angeles on Monday morning, December 19, 2022.

According to reports, the collision occurred around 10:50 a.m. on the 8900 block of Corbin Avenue.

Paramedics were dispatched to the scene after receiving calls that someone had been found injured near the railroad lines.

The individual was rushed to the hospital in an unknown condition.

The Coast Starlight Train 14, which had left Los Angeles, was reportedly stopped north of Van Nuys due to a trespasser incident.

Amtrak announced just after noon that the train was back on the move and operated approximately 1 hour and 30 minutes late entering Simi Valley.

Investigations on the collision are underway.
