A 61-year-old woman identified as Paula S. was killed after a deadly head-on crash in Palmdale on Friday afternoon, December 31st, 2021.

A northbound vehicle crossed the double yellow lines for unclear reasons and collided head-on with another car.

A female passenger inside the second vehicle was killed in the crash. She was pronounced dead at the scene.

Meanwhile, both drivers were taken to an area hospital with unspecified injuries. Their identities have not been disclosed.

Alcohol may have been a factor in the accident, but it has not been confirmed. Local authorities are further investigating the cause of the crash.
