[05-14-2020] Alameda County, CA – One Man Killed in a Hit and Run Accident in Oakland

A 39-year-old man identified as Nelson Guzman was killed by a hit-and-run driver in Oakland on Thursday night, May 14th.

According to the initial reports from the Alameda County Coroner’s office, the fatal pedestrian accident occurred at around 11:43 p.m.

The victim reportedly just finished painting graffiti on an Interstate 880 center divider in East Oakland and attempted to cross the road at the 29th Avenue off-ramp in East Oakland when he was suddenly struck by an unspecified vehicle.

The victim died at the scene.
