[05-08-2020] Butte County, CA – One Person Dead After a Fatal Bicycle Accident in Chico

One unidentified bicyclist was killed after colliding with a pickup truck on a highway in Chico on Friday night, May 8th.

According to the initial reports from the California Highway Patrol, the accident occurred at around 8:44 p.m. on Highway 32, commonly known as Deer Creek Highway, east of Ten Mile House Trail.

A Chevrolet Colorado pickup truck collided with the victim’s bicycle for unknown reasons. First responders went to the scene and found the victim lying down on the roadway.

The cyclist died at the scene. Information about the fatal accident is currently limited.
