[11-15-2020] Los Angeles, CA – One Person Killed After a Fatal Pedestrian Accident in Antelope Valley

A 19-year-old man identified as Juan Hernandez Miranda was killed after getting struck by a vehicle on the Antelope Valley Freeway on early Sunday morning, November 15.

According to the local authorities’ initial reports, the fatal accident transpired at around 4:30 a.m. on the southbound freeway at Escondido Canyon Road.

The pedestrian was allegedly struck by a gray Toyota Tacoma pickup truck. How the collision occurred, and the reason why it happened has not been established.

Witnesses reported seeing the pedestrian walking on the freeway at the time of the accident. It was unclear why he was on the highway.

The pedestrian was pronounced dead at the scene.
