[12-16-2020] Plumas County, CA – Three-Vehicle Crash in Quincy Injures One Woman

A three-vehicle traffic collision in Quincy left one woman seriously injured on Wednesday morning, December 16.

According to the local authorities’ initial reports, the accident transpired around 7:09 a.m. on Highway 70. A UPS truck towing a trailer was speeding on the westbound lanes of Highway 70. The UPS truck then crossed into oncoming traffic and collided with a silver Toyota RAV4.

Due to the severity of the impact, the RAV4 veered into the eastbound lane directly into the path of a lumber truck resulting in the two vehicles colliding head-on.

The female driver of the RAV4 was trapped in the wreckage. She was extricated by emergency personnel and airlifted to Enloe Medical Center in Chico with significant injuries. The two truck drivers were uninjured from the accident. No arrests have been made at the moment.

The California Highway Patrol is currently investigating the case. They will attempt to determine the cause of the accident.
