[04-09-2020] Santa Barbara, CA – 4 People Injured After a Two-vehicle Car Crash on Highway 154

Four people sustained varying degrees of injury after a two-vehicle collision in Santa Barbara last Thursday evening, April 9th. 

According to local authorities, the crash occurred at around 6:03 p.m. on Highway 154 and Painted Cave Road.

A Toyota 4Runner struck a blue Mazda in a T-bone style collision. Due to the severity of the impact, extensive extrication was done in order to remove one of the victims from the wreckage. 

The people involved in the crash suffered from varying degrees of injuries. Two of them sustained minor injuries, one had moderate injuries, while one of the victims were critically injured. 

All four people were immediately rushed to the Santa Barbara Cottage Hospital. Unfortunately, the person who was critically injured later succumbed to their injuries and died.

The driver of the blue Mazda, who was identified as Brian Watana Dul, was arrested on suspicion of DUI and vehicular manslaughter.
