[05-27-20220] Sonoma County, CA – One Person Injured Due to a 2-Vehicle Accident on Highway 12

Watmaugh RoadA two-vehicle crash in Sonoma on Wednesday morning, May 27th, caused one person to get hospitalized.

According to the initial reports from the California Highway Patrol, the accident occurred at around 7:12 a.m. A blue or gray Subaru Forester collided head-on with a silver Toyota 4Runner SUV on Highway 12 at Watmaugh Road for reasons that have not been established yet.

Due to the severity of the impact, both of the vehicles veered off to the side of the road. One person was reportedly pinned inside the Subaru and had to be extracted by the rescue crew. The person was immediately brought to a nearby hospital where he/she received treatment for their moderate injuries. The identities of the people involved have not been disclosed.
