A hit-and-run driver struck a 56-year-old man identified as Isaac Ishak in Ceres on Tuesday night, September 30.

The suspect reportedly went out of his vehicle to inspect what he had struck. He then returned to his vehicle and quickly left the area by driving across Mitchell’s northbound lanes and turning east onto Whitmore. The victim was rushed to an area hospital where he was later pronounced dead.

Authorities are now on the look-out for the hit-and-run driver. They suspect that his vehicle may have a broken driver’s side-view mirror as well as front-end and windshield damage. The hit-and-run driver is described to be a Hispanic man in his 30’s.
