[08-09-2020] Stanislaus County, CA – Injuries Reported After a Multi-Vehicle Crash in Modesto

Injuries were reported after a multi-vehicle traffic collision at an intersection in Modesto on Sunday morning, August 9.

According to the initial reports from the California Highway Patrol, the collision occurred at around 8:26 a.m. A gray Nissan Altima, a two truck, and another unspecified vehicle collided at the intersection of Santa Fe Avenue and Highway 132.

How the collision occurred, and the reason why it happened is currently unclear. One of the drivers fled the scene and was seen heading yo Yosemite Liquor. The driver that left had red hair and wore shorts.

One woman was reportedly trapped in the wreckage. She was pinned inside one of the vehicles. Rescue personnel arrived at the scene and extricated the woman. The woman sustained severe injuries and was rushed to an area hospital for treatment.
