A 22-year-old man was killed after a deadly DUI crash in Newark on Sunday evening, January 9, 2022.

[01-09-2022] Alameda County, CA - DUI Crash in Newark Results in The Death of a 22-Year-Old ManThe accident happened at approximately 11:20 p.m. in the area of Saint Isabel Street near Cedar Boulevard in Newark.

A vehicle crashed into a parked car near Cedar Boulevard. Four people were inside the vehicle while one person was inside the parked car.

Unfortunately, one of the people inside the first vehicle sustained fatal injuries in the crash. Emergency personnel performed life-saving measures on the man, but he later succumbed to his injuries and was pronounced dead at the scene.

Three other people sustained minor injuries in the mishap. The identities of the involved parties have not been disclosed.

Meanwhile, the driver of the first vehicle was later arrested on DUI-related charges and was booked into Santa Rita Jail.
