One unidentified person was killed after a deadly bicycle crash near Audubon Drive on Wednesday afternoon, January 12, 2022.

A man riding a recumbent-style bicycle was struck by a truck that was turning from southbound Firant Road onto westbound Audubon Drive.

How the crash occurred and why it happened have not been established. Unfortunately, the bicycle rider was killed in the crash. He was pronounced dead at the scene.

No other injuries were reported. It’s unclear whether drugs or alcohol were factors in the crash.

Local authorities are further investigating the cause of the accident. No arrests have been made at the moment.
