In metropolitan locations, where cars and bicycles interact the most, bicycle crashes are common. Bicyclist injuries and deaths are most commonly caused by cars colliding with bikes around the state.

Today, Californians continue to lead the nation in fitness and activity, and cycling is one method to keep fit. Cycling is not only a fun way to get around, but it is also excellent for the environment and budget. Sharing the road with automobiles, on the other hand, can be risky, and bicycle accidents can result in serious or fatal injuries.

Many of these incidents happened because the vehicle failed to give the right of way, checked for bikes before pulling out, ran a stop sign or red light, or was otherwise distracted while driving. When a car driver acts negligently or recklessly, avoiding a crash is not always possible.
