[02-27-2022] Contra Costa County, CA - Pregnant Woman Airlifted Following a Motorcycle Crash in OakleyAn unidentified pregnant woman was seriously injured after a motorcycle crash in Oakley on Sunday, February 27, 2022.

According to the initial reports from the California Highway Patrol, the accident occurred in the 2800 block of Oakley Road.

An unspecified vehicle made an unexpected turn directly in front of a motorcycle in Oakley Road. Firefighters found two people lying on the roadway following the collision.

The motorcycle rider was rushed to a hospital via ground ambulance while a pregnant woman had to be airlifted to the hospital for treatment.

Local authorities are further investigating the cause of the collision.
