[03-08-2022] Napa County, CA – 78-Year-Old Man Critically Injured in Pedestrian Accident Near Lincoln Avenue

According to the Napa Police Department, a pedestrian was critically injured when he was struck by a vehicle on Tuesday night, March 8, 2022.

[03-08-2022] Napa County, CA - 78-Year-Old Man Critically Injured in Pedestrian Accident Near Lincoln AvenueOfficers responded to a report of a collision around 6:50 p.m. on Soscol Avenue near Lincoln Avenue, according to police.

The authorities reported that the 78-year-old man was taken to a local hospital.

The driver of the involved vehicle, a gray Toyota Sienna, stayed on the scene and gave officers her information.

All four lanes of Soscol Avenue between Carolina Street and Maplewood Drive were closed for the investigation, according to police.

The investigation was handed over to the Napa Police Department’s Accident Reconstruction Team.

According to the preliminary investigation, the pedestrian was crossing Soscol Ave eastbound while the Toyota was traveling northbound. According to police, drugs and/or alcohol do not appear to be involved at this time.

Additional witnesses, dash camera footage, and surveillance video of the crash are being sought by the department.
