[03-09-2022] San Diego County, CA – 41-Year-Old Man Killed in Fatal Crash in Barrio Logan

According to police, a man died in a car accident in Barrio Logan after side-swiping another vehicle and swerving around traffic, crashing into a concrete barrier on Wednesday, March 9, 2022.

The fatal crash occurred around 8:00 p.m. in the area of West Main Street.

According to the San Diego Police Department, the 41-year-old man in a silver 2007 Saturn was approaching a red light on West Main Street.

A 21-year-old woman in a 2005 Ford Focus had a green light to enter eastbound traffic from eastbound traffic at the Interstate 15 exit.

According to police, the man veered to the left, around two vehicles stopped at a red light, and clipped the Ford Focus, spinning the woman through the intersection.

The driver lost control of his vehicle and collided with the roadway’s concrete railing.

The man was pronounced dead on the scene by paramedics.

There are no other details available.

The accident remains under investigation.
