[03-09-2022] Los Angeles County, CA – Driver Injured After Vehicle Gets Trapped Under Moving Big Rig on Harbor (11) Freeway

A two-lane closure on the Harbor (11) freeway just south of the Artesia (91) freeway was prompted by an injury crash involving a big rig truck during the morning rush hour on Wednesday, March 9, 2022.

Officer Peter Nicholson of the California Highway Patrol explained that it was possible.

The big rig driver may not have even felt the impact and continued driving without being alerted.

The driver eventually came to a halt, and crews worked to free the occupant of a pickup truck wedged beneath the big rig.

The 3 and 4 lanes were closed for less than an hour due to the collision. The CHP had the wreckage moved to the right side of the freeway shortly after 9:00 a.m.

The injured driver’s condition was not immediately known.

There are no other details available. The crash remains under investigation.
