[03-10-2020] Contra Costa, CA – Man Dead After a Multi-Vehicle Collision

Fatal collision with semi-truck on Tuesday closed Vasco Road, south of Camino Diablo

A 27-year-old man identified as Bryan Shuck was killed in a multi-vehicle crash last March 10 in Contra Costa County.

According to the initial reports from the California Highway Patrol, the incident occurred at around 2:31 p.m. on Vasco Road south of Camino Diablo. The 27-year-old man was driving his Chevrolet pickup truck northbound when he suddenly drove over the double yellow lines and into the southbound lane. This inevitably led to him crashing head-on with a box truck. The box-truck then spun out of control and eventually hit the GMC SUV behind it.

The road was closed down for four hours as investigators worked on the scene. The multi-vehicle crashed involved a tractor-trailer and two smaller vehicles.

Unfortunately, Shuck died at the scene while two other motorists were injured.
