A 52-year-old grandmother identified as Cynthia S. was killed in a hit-and-run collision in South Los Angeles on Thursday, March 10, 2022.

The woman was crossing the street when a car struck her and fled, leaving her on the ground.

According to detectives, the car that hit Sabo is thought to be a Camaro or a Charger with front-end damage.

According to LAPD, the driver got out of the car after the collision to examine the body before fleeing the scene.

The driver has yet to be identified.

LAPD has a partial license plate number and surveillance video from before and after the crash.

Sabo’s family has set up a GoFundMe page to raise funds.
