[03-12-2024] Orange County, CA – Male Pedestrian Killed Following Hit-And-Run Collision Along Tustin Street

A male pedestrian was killed following a hit-and-run collision in Orange on Tuesday morning, March 12, 2024.

According to the Orange Police Department, the fatal accident happened around 11:00 a.m. along Tustin Street, north of Palm Avenue.

Authorities said that the pedestrian was in the roadway just outside of a protected crosswalk when he was struck by a northbound vehicle. He was pronounced dead at the scene.

The suspect quickly fled the scene but was spotted minutes later along Katella Avenue. The hit-and-run driver was arrested around the Tustin and Adams Avenue area after leading the police in a brief chase.

A part of Tustin Street was closed for at least 5 hours while the police investigated.

The identities of the parties involved are yet to be released. No further information was made available at this time.
