[03-23-2024] Sacramento County, CA – One Person Killed Following Two-Vehicle Collision on Highway 99

One person was killed following a two-vehicle collision in Sacramento County on Saturday afternoon, March 23, 2024.

According to the Sacramento Metro Fire, the fatal crash happened just after 3:30 p.m. on northbound Highway 99 at Florin Road.

Upon arrival, responders saw a van resting on its side and another vehicle in the middle of the road blocking oncoming traffic.

It is confirmed that one person has died in the incident. The identity of the deceased was not disclosed immediately. It is also still unclear if anyone else was injured in the crash.

Authorities are still investigating the circumstances behind the traffic accident.
